I have always had a love for traditional martial arts and martial art history. Living in St. John's, Newfoundland has offered me the unique opportunity to train with numerous highly skilled Sensei, from different martial arts.

Training in serveral martial arts, offers an opportunity to address situations from different perspectives. Karate introduces kicks, punches, blocks, and strikes along with footwork and timing. Aikido ads blending, footwork, a multitude of grabs and strikes, as well as throws and pins. Traditional weapons add another element of wooden and metal striking implements of various lengths and weights. This makes for excellent self defence classes that can address a number of different industries. From a traditional perspective, cross training will improve your focus, skill level, and keep you active in the arts over a longer period of time.
